Will I get a kit?

For Grassroots football, our teams are sponsored so yes, you will be provided with a match day kit. Training kits are optional and these are available to purchase through our club shop.

Futsal - our teams are sponsored but the sponsorship doesn't cover unlimited numbers so it is likely that you will need to buy the kit. £35/Junior and £40/adult. If you are with us when we receive new sponsorship then your kit will be provided.

For Netball, you may purchase t-shirt £10 and hoodie £25-£30.

Where and when are the sessions?

If you are new, it is always best to check with us before coming along incase any venue or time has changed from the below. Sometimes we need temporary venues whilst current venues are closed. Any venue changes will be posted in the relevant WhatsApp groups.

We need a bigger kit, can I get a new one?

If your match day kit is too small or damaged then replacement kit can be bought from the Macron store. Sponsorship of the kit is for 2 years therefore we don't cover the cost of small or damaged kit, you need to size appropriately to cover 2 years. Please look after your kit, we pride ourselves on our teams looking the part and the kits need to last 2 years. Please do not wear Futsal kits to Grassroots training, Futsal is held indoors mostly therefore your kits should not need to become stained with astroturf or dirt.

Do I need to give the kit back if and when I leave?

Yes, you are required to give your match day kit back to allow another player to use the kit.

Where can I buy training kit, coats, bottles etc?

Please follow the club shop link which will direct you to the Macron store where you can buy these.

Coats, Tracksuit tops/bottoms, hats, bags etc https://clubshop.macron.com/manchester/lancashire-spitfires-girls-club/other

For items such as water bottles £10 or Netball t-shirt and hoodie that can't be found on the macron shop, please order direct with Carly or Warren or email us.

Does Grassroots training finish when the season finishes?

No, we train throughout the year on 3G and your subs reflect this. Training on 3G means that the number of sessions cancelled due to bad weather is minimal. It isn't often that we cancel sessions due to holidays. Over the summer we will try our best to arrange friendlies and attend tournaments.

I require more information about the Powerchair sessions

Our Powerchair sessions run with a limited number of powerchairs so please enquire direct before becoming hopeful of a place. You are more than welcome to come down and have a look at our setup and meet the team but we can't guarantee that a Powerchair will be available to use (not all of our players attend every session). We hold sessions fortnightly at Hyndburn Leisure Centre in Accrington on a Sunday afternoon 2pm - please check dates.

Do you only accept females?

Yes, we only accept females in our Grassroots, Futsal and Netball Sessions.

Our Powerchair sessions are open to both male and females.

I would like to get involved as a Coach, are you looking for new coaches?

Yes absolutely, some of our teams have enough coaches involved but we do have a few teams who could benefit from more input. You don't need to have experience as such, but you do need to have a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved and learn the most effective coaching techniques. All coaches are required to complete a DBS check and a Safeguarding course at the minimum. If you are interested then please speak to Coach Warren or pop us a message.
